Sole Sisters Getting Social!

We’re getting even more social this year, with NEW Sole Sisters Parties!

We’ve decided, we love our Sole Sisters so much, we just can’t wait for our spring training socials to get together again.

Thanks to the AMAZING support of our sponsors, Kaitlyn Beaver, Tara MacDonald & Scott Walsh we’ll be offering Sole Sisters Supporter Parties – stay tuned for specific themes/details for 2020 but we have 2019 planned.  On Friday, September 13th we have BLACK CAT FRIDAY; Friday October 4th we have 1990s Trivia Party and on Friday, November 9th we have our UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER SKATE.  Sole Sisters Supporter Parties are open to past, present and future Sole Sisters. They are free and they are meant to be fun without us walking or running (yes it is possible).  Save these 2020 dates: March 20th KITCHEN PARTY, April 24th POLAR BEAR DIP and May 1st we have rented a bus to visit Valley Vineyards!

If you don’t have them yet, we think you will find your Tutu Tribe in 2020!

Training for the Sole Sisters is FREE.

SOCIALS are free training opportunities that help you to start or simply give you company for your walk or run.  So, plan to join us to get in shape or stay in shape in Yarmouth, Dartmouth, Fredericton and Summerside. That’s right we have SOCIALS in three provinces in 2020.

Socials are usually done in one hour. You do not have to be registered for the race to join us at a SOCIAL. Our Fall  2019 SOCIALS are Wednesdays, October 16, 25, 30, November 6, 13, 20 from 6-7pm at 45 Graham’s Grove, Dartmouth.  If Wednesdays in the FALL don’t work, we are moving our training to Thursdays for the Spring 2020 SOCIALS which will begin Thursday, April 23rd and go every Thursday through our race in June.  Come out, give us a try and see if you like what you find. We will have the out of province locations and times posted early 2020.

If these locations don’t work for you, keep in mind you can use the guides below to train on your own, or better yet become an ambassador in your community!

A training plan to get you started

Prefer to train on your own? We’ve got some great training guides here to help you get ready… Get walking or running now!

2020 Sole Sister Socials Schedule

In 2020 our SOCIALS return to Thursdays (they were Wednesdays in the Fall of 2019). So plan to meet us  Thursdays at 6pm at 45 Graham’s Grove, Dartmouth.

9:00am on Saturdays beginning April 25, 2020. Ambassador Debbie will lead a SOCIAL that meets at the West Pubnico Wind Farm. So really this is West Pubnico but most will only know it as Yarmouth!

Ambassador Amanda will be leading SIX SOCIALS in Truro to help our Sole Sisters get SOCIAL! Plan to join her at 6pm on Wednesdays, April 29, May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27 and June 3rd.  Meet at the Wood street entrance to Victoria park.  The Google coordinates are 45°21’09.8″N 63°15’39.1″W – there is ample parking and an a washroom located there.  The run/walk will be mostly wide gravel trail with a short 200m road area.

Ambassador Diane will lead a SOCIAL on Thursdays from 6-7pm meeting on Thursdays at 370 Water Street, Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

SOCIALS in Fredericton, New Brunswick will begin on April 4,  2020.  Save these Saturdays: April 4, 18, May 2, 16,  and 30 to be SOCIAL from 9am – 10am. Ambassadors Melissa, Laura and Youth Ambassador Madelyn will meet in front of Cafe Beaverbrook at 703 Queen Street, Fredericton E3B 1C4.  This location is perfect as the trail has many routes and there are bathrooms at the cafe/art gallery, water fountains along the way and GREAT carb-loading options a the cafe post SOCIAL. The YOUTH SOCIAL will occur in May and Coach Stacy will have lots of free bling with her!

We have so many Sole Sisters from Ontario that fly to join us that we are currently finalizing details to hold a few SOCIALS in the Hamilton area in the spring of 2020! You can thank Ambassador Carol for that!  Details will be posted soon.
