Covid 19 changed the way we race in 2020 and rather than defer, cancel, postpone or just stop. We went virtual! Our all time favorite race swag had to go out into the world. So our purple, unicorns and rainbows were a part of our Virtual 5K in June.  And for the holidays we added a Virtual December Challenge that brought back a unicorn but made it more holiday focused. While we don’t know what 2021 will bring we certainly are hopeful that we will get back to our in person racing as described below.

In 2016, Sole Sisters Women’s Race transformed into the Sole Sisters Women’s Race Series. Further evolving, in 2019 the popular spring and fall races will  combine to become one amazing race weekend with races on Saturday night and Sunday morning. If you take part in both days then you can join the Tutu Challenge!

Our events are truly unique, inviting runners and walkers of all ages, shapes, fitness levels and backgrounds to participate. Our race series includes:

June 5K: The largest-ever race featuring tutus! A sea of purple t-shirts, tutus and tiaras can be seen for miles as thousands of women cross the Sole Sisters’ finish line. The June 5K event Sole Sisters is such a unique and extraordinary experience, including chocolate, hug stations, tutus and surprises galore! Learn more…

October 5K, 1/4 Marathon & 1/2 Marathon: Making history once again, as the first and largest women’s quarter and half marathon in Atlantic Canada (10.5K and 21K)! We identified a need in our region to introduce these running events – half marathons are the largest growing race in North America and a bucket list item for many runners. Learn more…

Little Miss Sole Sisters: In 2016 we had 250 girls race in a free standing event called Li’l Sisters Races that we rebranded as Little Miss Sole Sisters for fall 2017.  Little Miss Sole Sisters is open to girls 18 years and younger, and will be inclusive of runners and walkers. Learn more…
