Christmas in July Announcement

How will you finish off 2020?

Sole Sisters wishes everyone tenderness for the past, courage for the present and hope for the future. That sentiment moved us so much that it is on the ribbon of the Sole Sisters December Virtual Challenge finisher medal. It felt like something we needed to say as we reflect on 2020.

This Saturday (a/k/a Christmas in July) we will be opening registration for an event we think you will be excited about!  For the month of December Sole Sisters encourages you to be active through our December Virtual Race Challenge. We want you to virtually walk, run or even cycle the race distances of 1K, 5K, 10K, 21K or 42K! You can do this in a single day or over all thirty one (31) days in December.  This is your race, to do your way. Remember, we believe in Virtual Finish Lines Not Finish Times.  This could even be your new holiday tradition.

This virtual challenge is open to EVERYONE, it is not limited to girls/women only.  This could be a wonderful gift to a friend or simply a fun thing to do in December for you or your family and friends. We are planners so yes, we are already thinking what can be the next thing to look forward too since all our virtual events end in November.

The Virtual Race Kits with unicorn medal, race wrap and cute holiday bib will be mailed to you. And if you register early you will also get our unicorn and rainbows face mask.

Make no mistake, we want to find a way to keep all our Sole Sisters and Friends of Sole Sisters motivated this holiday season. But our primary reason for offering this event is that it is a fundraiser for Girls Gone Gazelle Run Club. Our goal is to generate revenue to redesign the Girls Gone Gazelle website to be interactive with virtual challenges to keep our girls (and their families) motivated and active while we navigate the world during Covid19. We do not know what sort of limitations to training will be in place for 2021 so we are looking to more fully develop the virtual aspect of our run/confidence club.  If you have always wanted to volunteer and can do website design, back end technical work, photography or writing then please consider reaching out to us to help at [email protected]. And please know we want everyone’s help. You do not need to be a professional.

These 2020 Gazelles trained alone but were able to come together for a graduation event. Let’s have more of this kind of confidence!
